Baptism of Infants and Children
Infants and children are baptized into the faith community of their parents. As the faith community assists the baptized through prayer and support, it is necessary for the parents asking for baptism to be members of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Baptism Preparation (Required)
Parents are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Session prior to the baptism of their child. Contact Deacon Dan Rouse (email@example.com) for information and to register for the next scheduled session.
Baptism of Children/Youth of School-Age
Children old enough to attend school are considred old enough to have the power of discernment. To be sure these older children/youth understand the importance of the Sacrament of Baptism, they will be asked to attend a 1-hour workshop with the Director of Religious Education. Contact Geralyn Ward (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Baptism of Adults
Prior to the baptism of adults, formation through RCIA is required. Adult baptisms are usually celebrated during the Easter Vigil. Contact the parish office (email@example.com) for more information.
