There is an obligation incumbent on the faithful to fulfill the two obligations, one for Sunday and one for the Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus. One should not attend the Christmas Eve Mass and count it for both obligations. The faithful should attend two Masses, one for the Fourth Sunday of Advent, one for the Solemnity of the Nativity.
