The Easter Vigil is the crowning jewel of the Liturgical Year. In this Liturgy, light breaks into the darkness, those who have been preparing are received fully into the communion of the Catholic Church, and we celebrate the Lord's Resurrection as we keep vigil. The Easter Vigil lasts approximately two hours and will begin with the Paschal Fire in our Mary and Jesus Courtyard, blessing of the new Easter Candle, a candlelit procession. It will include all nine readings provided for this mother of all vigils, drawing us into salvation history in the context of Christ's Resurrection. We will also celebrate the Sacraments of baptism, confirmation, and first Eucharist as 13 elect and candidates enter the Church!
