Beverly Ann Hagemann, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 17, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following an accident at home. Memorial Service: 9 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church by Deacon Dan Hoeger. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 56 years, Terrence; sons, John (Cortney) Hagemann and Jeff (Jennifer) Hagemann all of Cedar Rapids; 3 stepchildren, Timothy (Christine) Mason of Argyle, TX, Jennifer (Todd) Schroeder and Mikki (Ted) McSpadden both of Cedar Rapids; 1 brother, Bob (Joy) Cummings; 3 sisters, Mary Jean Lane, Rose Mary (Dan) Hoeger and Diane (Dave) Schlick; 3 granddaughters; many step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Richard Cummings and Bill Cummings; and brother-in-law, Jim Lane.
Beverly was born on February 16, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Mary Preble Cummings. She married Terrence Hagemann in 1968 in Cedar Rapids. Beverly worked for the Cedar Rapids Community School District as a bus driver for many years, retiring in 2012. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Beverly loved taking her granddaughters to the pool with the season passes that she would buy for them. She also liked attending events of all kinds, especially arts and craft fairs, and creating and painting beautiful ceramic pieces for her family and friends. When Beverly was not reading mystery novels, you often could find her tending her garden and watching for hummingbirds. She loved spending winters in Florida and spending time on the beach collecting shells. Beverly was a wonderful person and she will be missed very much.
