Funeral Mass for Wayne Cassady

Wayne A. Cassady, 84, passed away November 5, 2024. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 14 at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 15 with a visitation one hour prior at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Joan; three sons, Chris (Tersa), Kirk (Jennifer) and Paul; seven grandchildren, and a brother, Michael. He was the first graduating class from Jefferson High School and then went on to serve in the Navy for four years. After returning home, he worked at Collins Radio and retired after 33 years.
