First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion For Young Children
Children usually celebrate their First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion in the 2nd Grade after they have participated in formal Faith Formation classes. Formation classes are held at St. Patrick's in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atriums. If they attend LaSalle Catholic Schools their formation will take place at school and at St. Patrick's Church. Formation is critical in helping the children understand the necessity of forgiveness of self and others and to internalize the process of examination of conscience & to prepare to receive Jesus in Holy Communion.
A child must be in formal Faith Formation classes or attend LaSalle Catholic Schools for at least one (1) year prior to celebrating their First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion.
First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion take place at St. Patrick's Church
