Liturgy of the Hours

Liturgy of the Hours (or the Divine Office) is a public prayer of the Church that all consecrated religious and ordained pray daily. Lay faithful are also encouraged to pray at least some of the hours daily.

Heavily rooted in the Psalms, the hours are divided into:

• Office of Readings
• Morning Prayer
• Daytime Prayer
• Evening Prayer
• Night Prayer
